            An item I saw recently from the Environmental Working Group noted the harmful chemicals in bottled water.  Thirty-eight chemical pollutants were found in 10 popular brands purchased in several states and the D.C. area.  Each brand had an average of eight contaminants.  Several of these pollutants are not regulated in bottled water, and the companies aren’t held accountable.  They don’t have to tell you, the consumer, about all that’s in their water.  Maybe it has been treated and is good water, and maybe it isn’t.  So you could be drinking low quality tap water, only you’re paying a premium price for it.

            Combine this with the questionable substances that leach into the water from the plastic in the bottle, and you realize soon enough that drinking bottled water is risky business.  Sure, we take risks every day with what we drink or eat, and maybe we get by.  On the other hand, why not be sure of the water you’re drinking.
