There’s More to Surviving Swine Flu Than You’d think

I hesitated about writing for a third day in a row on the swine flu outbreak because I don’t want to get in a rut or push the panic button unnecessarily, as the media so often does.  Nonetheless, to me this is a significant event that has much that lurks under the surface, and I believe there is potential for this to be the survival challenge of the year.

As I read info online and hear the news, more questions come to mind.  Here are a few.

*   Why is the flu making such big news when many more people die in Mexico all the time from other diseases, such as tuberculosis?

*   Why are cases milder here in the U.S.?  Is the virus really mutating quickly?  Does our better sanitation and hygiene make the difference?  Cleanliness can’t help but be an important factor.

*   What is all the hype about the flu diverting us from?  It seems to have bumped the economy and other significant issues a little lower in the headlines.

*   Why is this happening in spring, rather than in the fall or winter?

*   Why is it coming from Mexico, rather than Asia, where so many flu viruses come from?

Talk show host Alex Jones says the fact that the flu is coming out of Mexico falls in line with the plan to use catastrophic events to bring about the North American Union, which will unite Mexico, the U.S. and Canada.  Could this indeed be the case?

Dr. Sherri Tenpenny practices integrative medicine in Cleveland, OH, and raises the question in a recent article, Is swine flu the new bird flu?  After all, for the past several years, we’ve been hearing about the potential threat of bird flu.  However, that hasn’t materialized as predicted.  The genetic makeup of this new virus has swine, bird, and human components.  Was it cooked up?  It’s probably too early to tell for sure, but it is being talked about as a very real possibility.  Of course, that begs the question, if true, who would do such a thing and why?  Who stands to gain?

Dr. Tenpenny wrote a book a couple years ago on bird flu, since that was the threat being talked about most until recent days.  The book is called  FOWL! Bird Flu: It’s Not What You Think.  It’s a 300 page paperback that deals with issues strikingly parallel to what we’re seeing today.  Here’s how it’s described on Amazon.com.

"FOWL!" is an investigative report into how dioxins, POPs [organic pollutants]and other environment chemicals are contributing to illness in migratory birds, chickens and humans by making them more susceptible to the effects of influenza viruses. The avian flu scare is just the latest act in an ongoing world government drama. This book is a disclosure about betrayals on many levels.

Here are a few of the truths that will be exposed: -Who wants the rural chickens dead? Who benefits from the destruction of the family farm, here and abroad? -What are the real reasons that domestic chickens and ducks are sick? -What is the connection between toxic environmental conditions and the death of migratory birds? -Why are human deaths associated with bird flu concentrated in Southeast Asia? -Who benefits from the manufacture of a ‘pandemic vaccine’? What’s in it? -Why vaccines are not the answer.

Reviewers have given Dr. Tenpenny’s book 4.9 out of 5 stars, saying it’s easy to read and is actually captivating.  Topics discussed include: the possibility of mandatory vaccination, virus mutation, consequences of chemical pollution, historical perspective, and what benefits there are in an outbreak for vaccine makers, the military, the U.N., and others.  The book is thoroughly researched and includes a glossary and several pages of footnotes..

In the book and on her web site, Dr. Tenpenny discourages use of vaccines to solve the problem of an outbreak.   In a recent radio interview, Dr. Tenpenny gave some common sense advice for staying healthy in the current situation.  For example, wash your hands often, get plenty of sleep, and take vitamins C, A, and D.  (You can order those vitamins and other healthful supplements here from Puritan’s Pride.)
