Before I tell you about the FoodSaver V2840, I should tell you I get a lot of e-mails from Amazon.com promoting various listings of products.  A newer FoodSaver vacuum sealer was mentioned in one of them.  When I checked customer reviews, several reviewers didn’t like that model.  Some wondered why the company took a good thing and messed it up.

            One reviewer specifically mentioned that the FoodSaver V2840 was the better model.  When I took a look at the reviews for it, nearly all were favorable.  It’s rated 4.4 out of 5 stars.  Since it’s not possible for me to try every product I mention here, I’m glad for reviews from those with hands on experience.  The ease of operation of the V2840is preferred over the newer model.  So, I’ve made it this week’s Amazon Pick of the Week.
